Peter Scholz

Sifu Peter Scholz

My name is Peter Scholz and I'm the founder of the Berlin School for Siu Lam Wing Chun. 1997 I started to learn the Kung Fu, since 2007 I teach by myself and established the first and independent school for Weng Chun Kung Fu in Berlin. 2010 I opened the Berlin Siu Lam Wing Chun Pai at its current location.

The connection between the traditional Chinese martial arts, which excellent characteristic is, to use strength in a effective and intelligent way, and my education as a physiotherapist, of which I set the emphasis in biomechanics and physiology of the human body, for me makes a meaningful and productive combination. Selfdefense starts on the daily quest for health, in a physical and mental sense.

While teaching I feel particularly concerned to walk on the learning track quickly and easily however well founded. To preserve the Wing Chun also in the future by its tradition - on the other side of secrets and concealments of facts, is my personal goal.

Wing Chun allows to develop more self-responsibility and awareness of the own strengths and weaknesses and invigorates the connection to our fellow human beings. Moreover, it proves to provide a viable base for more compassion and understanding in our society.

In 2013 I lived in Hong Kong, China, for three months. Based on what I learned and practiced before, I discovered this martial art new once again. Invaluable support I received from Michael Tang Chun Pak Sifu, who, as my traditional rooted and authentic teacher, practiced with me for uncountable hours. Besides I could learn the fundamentals of the Jip Man Wing Chun in the school of Sam Lau Sifu, the chairman of the Ip Man Wing Chun Association. Therefore I have to thank these brilliant teachers.

Since 2010 I am student of Michael Tang Chun Pak Sifu und representative for the Tang Family Weng Chun und Sifu Michael Tang in Germany.

No I'm pleased to relay my intrusted knowlege in our independent school.
